Several people have suggested different color ribbons for different
placings.

Check with the ribbon supplier for what is common.  What i remember from dog
shows is: Blue for first place, redfor secon, ???? for third and fourth in
class.  next higher selection was a two-colored ribbon. All these ribbons
were flat ribbons with  logo, place, and date, sometimes class. The next
step up would be a rosette ribbon of two colors and finally best in show
with a largeg Rosette ribbon with "best of Show" added to the ribbon along
with all the rest of the info.

In any event the ribbon supplier can advise as to colors etc.
