Prize Contacts

I've just sent out 31 solicitation letters to various companies looking for
donations of Prizes. I'm not even half thru the list of companies, but the
finger which hits the "send" button is tired, so I'll finish the list
tomorrow.

I expect that it will take a while for some of the companies to get back to
me but I'd like to get people's thoughts on what we can or should do in
return for the donations we are looking for. I don't think anyone wants to
let this get taken over by commercialism but we should probably have a page
on the web site listing the company's which have donated prizes and the item
and/or value of what they have donated. A link to the company's web site
might also be in order.

Erik, if any company is generous enough to donate something big and or nice
would there be any problem with us displaying a photograph of the item? This
might also spur on entries.

How do others think we should approach this? Again, no company has gotten
back to me yet, but I would like to be prepared when they do.
