Sure - different plants grow at different rates, obviously. Some plants have to be trimmed and shaped every week, some at two or three week intervals, and some that rarely need pruning. As a normal course of things, your tank rarely looks "picture ready" because one or more holes exist where you've been pruning. So you stagger out the trimmings as necessary for a picture section so that *every* group of plants has filled out at virtually the same moment. Some of us have purposely picked a day late into the Event because we needed the "catch-up" time with particular plants... -Y- David A.
