Both Dorothy and I have always mailed out renewal notices. It seems like a significant fraction are not received. Same with TAG, except that we pay the PO to return them to us to update or check the address, so have a shot at tracking down members who have moved. I also use email for renewal notices and confirmations, with awful results.
