We could just say onthe registration page that the prize will be in the form of a check and that the recipient's local bank probably will require that the check be made out to the name on the recipient's passport or other official identification. That ought to handle it. It's not that it's such a terribly big problem, it's just one of those totally unnecessary things like sending scans of typed "signatures", wrong addresses, etc,. sh ----- Original Message ---- From: Erik Olson <erik@thekrib.com> To: AGA Aquascaping Contest Planning <aga-contest@thekrib.com> Sent: Friday, February 10, 2006 7:28:15 PM Subject: Re: [AGA-Contest] One darn thing after another -- or - Who's Who in theContest Right. No sponsors are going to agree to this. The first year, the only sponsor who would deliver direct was All Glass, who would deliver a tank to one of their client local fish stores in the winner's area. Unfortunately, that did not include Norway. So we had to EBay the tank to someone in the US and then send the money to the winner. That's why cash ends up being better for this particular contest. Maybe we should just give up the idea of prizes and go with monetary sponsorship only? I dunno. _______________________________________________ AGA-Contest mailing list AGA-Contest@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-contest
