Re: [AGA-Contest] [AGA-conheads] Hello dear sir.. (fwd)

I think that's excellent. I probably would change "would have to contact each of the photographers" to "you need to contact. . . "

How about:

Dear Sergei,

We appreciate your interest in the AGA and your promotion of the AGA.  It's great to see such enthusiasm and excitement for the planted aquarium hobby.

Unfortunately, the AGA does not own the photos you are using or that you wish to use in your video, nor do we have the expressed, written permission of the photographers to distribute or use their photos in any way beyond that of the contest itself.   As you did with the Smashing Pumpkins, you would have to contact each photographer individually for a written release to use their photos in your video.  At that time you could request high resolution copies of those photos from the individual photographers.

We are a non-profit organization so unfortunately we do not have the funding to make awards for trips to our convention or to purchase advertising.  We primarily rely on donations and word of mouth to promote our organization and our events.  Our available funds may used solely to cover our operations, and we have to watch every dollar even to cover the cost of bringing in speakers like Mr. Amano.

Sincerely,

Mike
