I agree that contacting the authors for permission is critical. Some authors may also want to first rewrite or update their ideas before having it on the printed page. I have some posts which had some typos or technical errors that were noticed afterwards.. sometimes thru followup discussion... but rarely is a revised writeup posted. In some cases, emails have changes... so some detective work may be needed. For example some of my posts were from my old UNC account. Screening the information for technical content will also take time and should be lead by a knowledgeable person. We need some volunteers... I can be involved, but only to a minor extent. Neil
