I think this is a central question. AGA needs to decide: Is providing PAM as a membership benefit in the interest of our members and the hobby or not? My analysis is: FOR: 1. PAM will be a great mag. As such, AGA will gain status and standing by providing it. 2. Partnership between AGA and PAM will strengthen and give enhanced credibility to both. 3. Cooperation between AGA and PAM will relieve AGA of much responsibility in distributing plant care info. 4. AGA supporting PAM will strengthen the hobby. AGAINST: 1. It is a venture into unknown territory. 2. PAM might fail and AGA members might think less of AGA for having associated with a failure. 3. PAM might steal some limelight/leadership from AGA. 4. AGA might later decide to do something inconsistent with supporting/cooperating/partnering with PAM. I think it is pretty clear, but I am VERY prejudiced. -- Dave Gomberg, San Francisco mailto:gomberg@wcf.com For low cost CO2 systems that work: http://www.wcf.com/co2iron Tropica MasterGrow in the USA: http://www.wcf.com/tropica -----------------------------------------------------------------
