Apparently Mr. Coletti thinks it's an AGA meeting.

Subject: RE: URGENT: Your Plant Wish List for Extrav '99 Auction

Greetings, fellow AGAers. In addition to my marketing duties, writing my
program, creating an "aquarium hobby timeline" display, and building my own
tanks for display, the Board has appointed (demanded) I purchase the plants
for Sunday's auction. We're going with The Source Agency, which buys direct
from F.O.B Singapore and Florida. We used them for the Spring auction and
even after coming in two weeks early, they were beautiful specimens on
auction day.

In order to make this worthwhile for all us AGA members, I am contacting all
those I can to inquire on what species they would like to see at the
auction. I received from our dealer the wonderfully illustrated but poorly
nomenclatured "Aquarium Plant Catalogue" from Oriental Aquarium Singapore. I
also have their more extensive price list.

Please send me your "wish list", if you desire, NO LATER THAN Wednesday
evening, Oct. 6th. The plants will arrive at my place on the 18th and housed
in soft, slightly acid water (KH 3, Ph 6.8) and bagged on the 22nd for
auction on the 24rd.

I welcome your tips on holding tanks for the plants (float them? root them?)
and your experiences with shipping Crypts (do they melt? what species to
avoid? is Jan bringing specimens so we don't duplicate? etc.).

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you all at TFWE '99. If you have
not heard, we sold out the Hilton Saturday night but the Somerset Suites
next door has vacancies. Registrations are coming in from CA to TX to FL to
Maine and everywhere in between, including one from the PR, UK, Canada, and
Mexico. It should be the biggest event next to ACA this year (we're bidding
for ACA 2001 BTW). I look forward to my first AGA meeting and finally
meeting many of you in person.

Please forward this message if you like.

regards,

Ted Coletti
