PAM Negotiations

Hi Everybody,

        Its become obvious to me, more by the non responders than from those who
did respond that I expressed a minority opinion regarding PAM.  Therefore
I am requesting David Lass to take over the negotiations with David
Gomberg with some restrictions. The AGA should put up no money. We want
the contract to be as simple as possible. We want to be absolutely clear
that our mailing list is protected, so that PAM cannot use it for PAM's
purposes. With those constraints in place, go to it and let us know when
you have something you think we can live with.

        In the meantime, I am going to contact Steve Dixon to see if he is
interested in working with the AGA to get us incorporated with tax exempt
status and to review the contract for us when it is ready. We already
have one volunteer, Dave Lass' friend who has agreed to do the
incorporation for the $1000 we have budgeted. I still hope to find a
volunteer who will do it for free, but with Dixon being one of the
financial supporters of PAM, I'll also be asking if he can foresee any
potential conflict of interest possibilities arising.
