Hi, folks: Since just before Christmas (Dec. 15 - Jan. 15), we have recieved: 23 New Membership applications 73 Renewals One new member is from Indonesia, one is from England, 2 are from Canada, and 19 are from the United States One membership was given as a Christmas gift! 7 of the new memberships were multi-year, and 26 of the renewals were for multi-year. This warms my heart since it indicates satisfaction and confidence in the club, and it also means fewer renewal notices for me to send out and process! Very few of the members indicated their willingness to volunteer. Of those that did, two stand out: someone from Seachem is willing to write articles, and another person claims to be fluent in Japanese. To whom should I direct these people? Regarding volunteers, I have been recording this information in our membership database (along with email addresses, phone numbers, etc.). Do we have a volunteer coordinator yet? I would be pleased to forward this information to them. It would be a lot easier for me to simply email the entire database, so that I don't have to go to the trouble of editing it to make it print properly. It is in Microsoft Excel 98 format. That's great news about incorporation. Is Massachusetts the right place to do it? Seems that Mass. has twice as many regulations (and lawsuits) as anywhere else that I have lived. Would there be any advantage to doing it in, say, New Hampshire or Delaware? - Jack O'Leary
