I think it is probably about $200.00, and there are several versions, the more expensive with certain advanced features that most people don't need. It is easy to set up custom layouts and modify existing layouts. A database manager is ideal for keeping membership records because of its advanced find and sort features. For instance, you can find all members whose membership needs renewing in February, 2000, and live in Massachusetts. I would be glad to try setting up a database for the membership, if you send me the data. If you send it as an excel file, I think I can export it as comma separated text and import it directly into the Filemaker file. I am thinking of incorporating a membership questionaire that Olga Betts worked out into the database. We don't have any data to put in, yet, but if we send out the questionnaire, we should get quite a lot. I can send you a copy of the questionnaire, if you are interested. I don't know if I want to take on the task of data entry for hundreds of questionnaires without some help, however. > >The person who indicated an ability in Japanese is: > >Ken Nord, 6082 Ivory Circle, Huntington Beach, CA knsan@pacbell.net, >714-379-6047 > I can't remember what the need was for an ability in Japanese. >The Seachem contact is at home; I will look him up and forward to you as >soon as I can. > >- Jack Paul Krombholz, in colder, drier Central Mississippi. ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-mcm" in the body of the message.
