Hi, everyone,
When I saw Diana's e-mail last night, I was in the
process of doing the proofs for TAG, so it still wasn't too late to change the
price of her book. I called Diana this morning, and after talking with
Neil, she said she was convinced that we should roll back the
price. I agreed, so we decided to reduce the price for AGAers to $28
including postage for US orders, whereas we kept the price at $33 for
non-members. For Canadians there is an additional postage charge of $2
(for Diana's book only).
I'm going to state what we say in the bookstore ad
for TAG which I frankly hadn't read too carefully until last night. We say
that the prices listed along side the book are for AGAers only and reflect a
discounted price. Non-AGAers should add $5 to the purchase
price.
So it would appear that as stated above, we're
probably operating on a break even, maybe limited profit basis. I wonder
how many non-AGAers really order from the bookstore.
The question remains, does the ad reflect AGA
policy as we understand it. I can't comment since I have only been on the
MC for the last 6 months and am not familiar with the history.
