Would putting email addresses on our web site make our >members >vulnerable to getting spammed? > >- Jack > ------------------ Perhaps local groups could exchange membership data, but I don't see any value in publishing the entire membership. If a member wants to locate some particular other member, perhaps he or she could contact you. Have you ever had requests like that, Jack? I know you made the decision, at least for the present, to keep the membership as an Excel file, rather than to port it over to a database, such as Filemaker. This, however, leaves me with the questionnaire developed by Olga Betts. If we were to use this questionnaire, it would seem logical to store the data we get in Filemaker. So, I am thinking, why not have all the membership data in Filemaker? I got the sample you sent (about 1/10 the total) into Filemaker fairly easily, and, with spring break coming up next week, I could get all the rest done.
