Tom is very good with plants, and is quite knowledgeable.  He's also a very
nice guy.  But his writing skills are pretty terrible.  If Mary solicits
stuff from him, she needs to be prepared to do _major_ editing.  Still, if
she's willing to do the work, he's certainly a valuable resource.
