This is definitely the downside of it all; the master copy is maintained
on the website machine.  New fields have to be added on the same machine.
Likewise, creating new types of reports must be done by programming that
machine and the web front end. The web-based system is really good for a
stable arrangement that doesn't need to change very much.  If we're
anticipating lots of these sorts of changes to the database itself, I
would not recommend the web-based front end.
