Claus has written an article on CO2 which Karen has in English. We will be publishing it in TAG after it has been published in Europe. Eric, here's what I propose. From your description - first draft - I gather you want do some more work on the article. Perhaps you can make whatever changes you want to make. I would ask other people who were there to fill in things you may have missed so as to give the people who couldn't attend the most information we can. If that isn't possible, that's okay. It's hard to include everything. I did take a few notes myself which I'm going to look over. > > > That was my understanding too. This date may be a problem for some of the BAS people. But no date is going to be good for everyone. I would be willing to come any way. I vote yes on Nov. 3 - 5. \ > Any other volunteers to speak? I have given a couple of beginner talks and would be willing to give a beginner talk, possibly with a focus on setting up an easy maintenance tank or maintenace in general. > >I'm also wondering if we could bring in some plants from FAN and sell them > >at the event. An alternative to selling is to have a big grab bag.... a table with numbers... If your ticket ends in 7, you pick any plant from Table 7. It can even be on the honor system for low maintenance. This can be announced and for 5 pots, can justify an extra $5-10 for registration fee. > --Neil Are you proposing this in addition to or as an alternative to the silent auction? I prefer the FAN idea. The reason is, I'm sure there will be people who would like to aquire some medium rare plants, and it would be disappointing for them to find out that doing so is a matterof chance. I was talking to Jack, and he said at the time he would be willing to run the silent auction if he is able to come. I would be willing to help him. If he isn't, I would consider running it myself if I had some help, preferably someone who has had experience with the financial end of things.
