Regarding event listings in other magazines besides TAG and PAM, I like Mary's approach: send to TFH; change add in AFM until the issue right up to the registration deadline (I suggest October).. a phone number contract is important for those without email...and not bother with AFM. I have a few other suggestions: 1) submit a letter to the editor of FAMA. At least when Dewey was alive, he would always publish announcements for free under letters to the editor.Call their 800 number to find out who to address it to. 2) someone mentioned an aquarium club email list or other places to email on the internet. I think a relatively short email message (without any annoying attachments like Ted Coletti sent) would be OK. 3) I would like to see a MONTHLY announcement on the APD. Lots of people need a reminder to allow them to keep the item on the active radar screen. I think it is extremely important to snail mail a copy to each AGA member. Is this the brochure with registration prices and details about hotels, etc; or just an announcement. If it is the former, I thought we were going to see it for brief discussion and input before it went to press. --Neil ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-mcm" in the body of the message.
