big non-profit organizations do _not_ give voting rights to general
members.  I know that I am a "member" of the United States Dressage
Federation, the National Geographic Society, the New England Aquarium, and
several other organizations, and I have no voting rights in those
organizations.  I have certain privileges because of my membership, but
voting rights are not one of them.
