Plant Auction



Greetings all.

I would suggest that we do have a split for those who want it, and a 100% 
donation for those who wish to donate.  You could have two types of seller 
numbers based on whether they took a donation seller's form or a split 
seller's form, or have a box on the top of the form which they would check. 
(BTW, anyone who fails to check either box is assumed to make a 100% donation 
to cut down on bookkeeping headaches).

Then the only forms the Auction chair would have to worry about getting 
checks to would be those in the split file.  And I would definitely suggest 
that we pay by check, and not at the event itself.  That can be a HUGE 
headache for the treasurer, who would also be at the event to enjoy some of 
it, not just to work.

I would also suggest contacting all of the major US and European 
manufacturers to solicit donations of plant related equipment for a raffle or 
auction.
