Don't quote the whole digest

Folks, I know some of you really would like to kill me by now, but I've
gotten four or five of the same kind of bounces to the list in the last 48
hours, so I need to really stress this:

If you reply to the digest, you MUST trim the quoted material down to
just the few lines of the other person you are quoting.  This includes all
the material that shows up BELOW your message.  If you do not do this,
your mail will be returned to you automatically with an error saying
something of the effect of "BOUNCE aga-mcm@thekrib.com:     taboo body
match blah blah blah".  

I could take this stringent requirement back out of the software, but then
we would have been treated with four entire quotes of previous digests
today. 

The gist of the latest bounced messages are thus....

1. Mary replies to my comment yesterday that we're waiting for her input
on how to proceed with the silent auction: "I'm waiting to hear people
volunteer to help out before I commit on what we're going to do.  Any
volunteers?"

[Erik editorializes: Wow, I'm glad I poked the issue.  We could have gone
on waiting for months at this rate!]

2. Mary replies to Charlene's note: "I was confused by Charlene's note and
didn't understand what she wanted me to do. Charlene, Jack, who is the
membership chair, Charlene, maintains the list. Jack, could you please
print up some labels?  I could get a mailing service to do the mailing.  
If it doesn't present extra work for you, Charlene, I would rather that
you do it at the Aquarium.  It would save us some money on postage.  I
don't know how your mailing system works, but presumably you're a
non-profit organization that gets bulk rate?"

I think there may have been a third bounce, but I do not have it anymore.
