Thanks First, Charlene, who's the guy? Second, what is he expecting to get out of it that he's willing to "donate" $1000. (particularly since he seems to have no plans to remunerate the speakers?) Sorry if I sound cynical, but while I am very happy to volunteer my time, photographs and knowledge to SPEAK at the conference, and spend the money to GET to the conference, I take a dim view of the idea of a private party financially benefitting by simply taping and distributing my talk and all of my slides. Third, if I were involved with creating a video that was to be sold, or even widely distributed, I would want to also be able to review and edit it, a process that is not going to be possible with a tape of a live talk. 4th, While I have allowed clubs that have paid my expenses to come and talk to their group to tape my talk for _their own club's use_, I have _not given permission for the club to distribute that tape further. If anyone is going to tape the conference, I'd want Erik do it, so that we KNOW that AGA retains full rights to the final tape. I've seen Eriks work, and know he can do an oustanding job. I also know him well enough to know I and the AGA won't be exploited. Karen
