Interesting turn of events... no... must... stop... self... from...

Likewise.

I think it's OK to have one or two photos and a little buzz article in PAM,
but our primary focus should be TAG. That means MORE and EARLIER.

I agree.

I guess there is also the issue of whether or not this should first of all
be announced and published in TAG (before anywhere else) to consider. I
should probably contact Mary to find out her publishing schedule for the
next few issues of TAG.

I am working on No. 4 right now. I have set a tentative deadline that all
articles should be turned in by November 15th, but I can allow you some
flexibility.

As far as the first issue of 2001 is concerned, I will be going on a second
trip to the Amazon and will be leaving on January 20th. My hope is to have
my part done by then so that the layout people can do their work and it will
be ready for me to proof when I get back. As long as there are no major
problems (sometimes there are), TAG could be mailed out 1 1/2 weeks later.
But if this time table doesn't work for you, I could change it.

I am going to be drawing up a publication schedule, but things do come up
and sometimes my layout people aren't able to keep deadlines.

Yes, it should absolutely without a doubt be announced and featured in TAG
first. In fact, I think we should work with Mary to make sure we have
everything needed to this end, and help speed up the process so Q4's TAG
> gets out on time (by December).

Do you want me to publish anything for the December issue? If you need a
little more time, we can negotiate on that. I would like to include an
article on the conference. Would someone be willing to write it?

The Q3 TAG is a bit late, but I think is
in the can now.

I'll be reviewing the proofs today, and No. 3 will probably be mailed out
Friday or Monday.

pages and a nice feature article by one (or both) of us to lead in. What we
should probably do now is find out whether she wants to run the categories
all at once, or just the 1st place, or maybe one classification
per month for the next 4 issues? (Mary: We broke the entries down into six
categories, three sizes of Aquatic Gardens, plus all sizes of Paludariums,
Artificial Aquascapes, and Natural/Biotope Aquaria.) We have
enough material here for an entire year or more!

Great! I would prefer to spread things out so that will ensure some
material for several issues. However, I'm supposed to do only a couple of
color issues a year. I have only done one so far this year, and I could I
suppose save it up for next year. It would probably make sense to do two
categories a month, so things could be wrapped up in three issues. But I
would like to announce the winners in all the categories (text only) and
then take it from there. The lead-in feature article could be in that same
issue, or the next, depending on your time frame.

Let me know if the above works for you. I am willing to be flexible.
