The true worth of this is only going to come once people can spend some time looking at the images themselves, reading the judges comments and doing some personal reflection on what worked and what didn't work. I have no idea yet who owns any of the aquascapes, so I can't even begin to consider if this event answered my initial question which started it all - are there any noticeable differences between how hobbyists in various parts of the world approach the aquascaping of their tanks? While not all of the images are up to Amano's photographic standards, there are some wonderful ideas displayed in the various aquascapes which could be developed into articles that would not depend upon how soon they can be gotten into print.
