While I'm thinking about it, one further point regarding the
Showcase/Contest.....

Many people are under the impression that this is "just another contest".
Anyone who was on the showcase/contest discussion list will remember the
fights we had at the beginning surrounding the "nature of the beast". Some
wanted an art show, others wanted a contest, in the end we decided on BOTH.
My wish to publish a detailed list in TAG as the first article is more
"housekeeping" than anything else. Once I realized that a lot of folks
wanted a Contest, I decided that if we were going to do one, we should do a
good one - thus the top flight group of judges and the wealth of prizes.
Once the "list of winners" is published and the prizes are shipped out, I
hope to be able to focus more on what can be learned from all of these
aquascapes and thus put the focus back on the "Showcase". There are more
than enough themes in there for articles in 10 magazines.... plenty of stuff
to go around.
