Does Karen know if she is comfortable and capable to give a talk in english.

Some discussion is needed on budget for speakers.

I think one industry speaker would be appropriate... as long as it is not
an advertisement. Someone from academia would be good too.

Different set of speakers is appropriate. For new speakers, I suspect
Waldstad will speak if she can get expenses paid.

Re: marriot
I like the idea of a hotel with better facilities.... does marriot have a
good lobby or other gathering place for people to sit, schmooz and
interact. I think this was lacking last year - because of schedule and
facilities. The participants are only there for 2 days and should not be
too dispersed.
