Hello guys, I have been trying to get James to commit or bow out of the showcase for the past two months; he had been waffling very heavily, still wanting to do the job, but not having the time or energy (see below). I have offered to take the job on this year, so James' letter here makes it official. I will now start assembling the team! Charlene, I will send you the spreadsheet of donors so we can get started there as well. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2001 22:19:14 -0400 From: James Purchase <jppurchase@Home.com> To: Erik Olson <erik@thekrib.com> Subject: Showcase/Conference Hi Eric, Sorry to have been so silent, but I haven't been around much over the past few weeks. I spent a couple of weeks back in hospital during the later part of last month and the first week of April and then when to my sister's for a few days once I was released. I just don't have much "oomph" in me right now to even look after myself fully. So it looks like I'll have to bow out of any participation in the Showcase this year - I just don't have the energy. You have the most recent copy of the contact spreadsheet that I used for getting in touch with the donor companies, so someone should have no problem re-tracing my steps to get donations for this year. As far as I can see, the only things remaining from last year's event yet to do is get that big tank listed on e-bay (didn't you say that you'd take care of that ?) and for the final accounting of expenses to be submitted with receipts to the AGA treasurer. I hope to get onto that next week - everything is in an envelope here somewhere. I'll have to find out from David how much expense he incurred to ship prizes from his place as well, and include those figures in my final report to the AGA. Hope you have a nice Easter....... Take care, James Purchase Toronto
