No, and there is no way to find out.

Same for the extra 25 going to Diana.

Normally, the printers send out Diana'a copies UPS, but the person doing the
mail that day screwed up and sent them first class. There is no way of
tracing them.

As I have said repeatedly, the problem is with the Post Office. When you
send mail 4th class bulk rate, there is no way to trace it. Ditto for even
first class mail. The Post Office is extremely difficult to deal with. The
Customer Service manager tried to help, but even she told me there was
nothing they could do.

If there is a problem with the labels (or communicating them to the
> printer), please fix it before the next mailout.

No, that isn't a problem. Jack has complained about some of the labels on
returned issues being smeared and illegable, but Sherman, the owner of the
mailing company, told me that the labels are checked before they are used.
The Post Office does the smearing. I think the mailing company is doing a
good job. I have asked Jack to speak to Sherman personally if he thinks
there is any way that the mailing company's service can be improved.

I do, however, have some good news to report. The project manager at the
Print Centre told me this afternoon that he felt bad about what happened to
Diana's copies and felt the company was responsible because they weren't
sent out UPS which would have made them traceable. So they are going to
print up 25 digital copies free of charge next week. So that should get us
out of the pickle that we are in.

Since I talked to Bob (project mananger), I've been wondering if we should
have extra copies beyond Diana's replacement copies printed up. I guess it
depends on how many people are missing their magazines. It sounds like Jack
has been hearing from more people. Jack and I will have to put our heads
together and figure out how many replacement copies we need. Do you all
think we should have more digital copies printed up for the bookstore? The
project manager won't be in tomorrow, so I won't be able to get a quote
until Monday.
