Do you know all the details about the printer, or anything about how they mail it? (Really starting from scratch here.) Mary hasn't gotten me the material yet, and we haven't written the new material. So I think Jan 5 is a good deadline to have everything ready for you. (Of course if I get my hands on a copy of pagemaker and have too much free time during the break, you may find your job a little easier. :) I've cc'd the committee chairs on this one, so you guys know that any articles you want to be in the "transitional" TAG should be written and sent to me by, let's say, December 28th, unless you beg. Loudly. :) I am planning on writing the contest results. I will also include in my 1-page "state of the AGA" message something about the editorial transition. I think David was going to/should say something about the incorporation and perhaps the back issues of PAM. If someone here would like to write a convention summary article, or detail about any of the particular talks, I will offer a copy of the convention video as "payment" and as an aid to writing the article. (But remember, would need to be done by the 28th!) I'll make this offer on aga-member if there are no takers here. Likewise, if any of you have photos from the convention, PLEASE PLEASE lend me the negatives for a few days. I will scan them and send them RIGHT BACK. Promise! What's the "transitional" TAG, you ask? I am filling in as the managing editor for ONE oversized issue of TAG that will contain some 28 pages that Mary has had for the last 6 months and is planning to send me, plus the new material above. I am not the new permanent editor of TAG; someone else has already been appointed <ominous music> and will probably post when they are ready to start building their staff. :) I am doing this one-time TAG strictly so that the new editor will have another 2-3 months cushion to transition in and implement the new changes in the magazine. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com
