Re: [AGA-mcm] questions about convention

The problem is that no one had talked to RAY about it. He asked me about it
a couple of times earlier when I ran into him, and each time I have told him
I'd check with the committee and ask someone to get back to him. Each time,
I HAVE brought it to the attention of the committee, and I HOPE someone has
contacted Ray DIRECTLY to discuss this, than k him for the offer, but tell
him that it just doesn't work time-wise.

If this hasn't been done, whoever is in charge of vendors needs to do it
NOW. Ray is too important to us for us just to ignore him when he's trying
to help. I know this doesn't fit in with the convention plans, and I
understand all the reasons why. But it's kinda rude not to talk to him
directly about this. I'm sure the fact that we can't make it work is not a
problem. The fact that we are not communicating well with vendors IS be a
problem.

Likewise, the committee is missing a huge opportunity if they don't get in
touch with Lee Finley. Like Ray's booth, THE other place to "hang out" at
the bigger conventions is Lee's booth. It will keep people coming back to
the vendor room, and will keep them in there.

In terms of vendors, how many do we have? I still don't know who is in
charge of that area.
