yes, I agree on your analysis that some people won't sign up early. Also I know here, local people tend to leave it to last minute and pay the late fee...but much smaller shows.

Doesn't matter (entirely) that they know it, which means they've heard of it. It's the kind of thing a lot of people will put off because it involves a lot of money and is so far off in the future. Anyhow, that's what the marketing people tell me. As for how worrisome it is, of course it's hard to say, but I don't think we got a really strong showing during the summer, after the early birds -- soemwhat stronger than prior years but not the kind of thing we expected with two strong names on the bill, including Amano. So, it seems to me we ought to be able to get a strong rate of sign-ups during Sept and Oct. There are lots of people that won't sign up early than Sept or Oct, and we need to draw them in. sh --- Kathy Olson <kathy@thekrib.com> wrote:It is a little (or a lot) worrisome to me that this should be our peak and we are seeing a lull, defintely hit the marketing end of this now. For the posible convenience of those involved, I've attached a copy of a form of Performance Report thatneedsonly to have the data inserted. The data for the"OriginalBudget" is based on what I worked up before the hoteldealwas finished and probably needs to be updated with some diff values for prices, e.g. roomnights ended up higher than estimated when Rick and I put this version of the original budget together. Although I did thesensitivityanalysis for the various hotel deals. I didn't take ituponmyself to prepare a final budget based on the the deal finally accepted. But this form of report should beenoughto work with. All of the data should be in hand. sh ===== Plant your feet in Washington, D.C. and touch the moon-- at the National Air & Space Museum. And learn the art of aquascaping Senske style atAGA2K4.Speakers, field trip, Ray "Kingfish" Lucas, and more. ..The Annual AGA Convention, 2004, November 12-14.
