Another angle might be to see if one of these OTHER shops wants to set up a booth.  If Aquarium Center is being stupid, it might be a perfect opportunity for another store to steal some thunder.

Thanks for passing his name along.  Are there any worries about giving out personal info.  I was thinking to just give names of attendees, not any contact info.  If he wants to contact people to ask them to attend that is usually a good sell (in our case).  I have had good success with local petshops.  A lot of the shops in Richmond, VA & VA Beach did not really know about it and are eager to help get the word out.
