Erik,

I could show him around, explain, translate etc. At the same time I don't
want this to be 24 hour job and my obligation. Please make this clear in
your reply to him (or translator). I still don't understand why he wants to
come with the language barrier. Convention is about learning, listening and
communication. Not about looking at people (language barrier). If individual
can't speak and will only "look", why not buy Convention Tape?

Do you mind giving me his email address? I would like to exchange few emails
with him or his translator. I want to explain to him what this convention is
all about. I just hate to see the guy spend ~$2000 and look at things
instead of participating in conversations. I don't want him to think that he
is "getting" full-time translator.

Jay, would you be willing to help host him?  I can send him an invite (or 
better yet, Rick, could YOU e-mail me the most official-looking invite 
e-mail you guys have?), but I can't help with his other bits like 
schlepping him around DC.

There is a possibility he wants to hawk his video, but we have had this 
sort of thing in the past with certain "domestic" members (and probably 
will again this year -- I can think of at least two vendors who are not 
doing the vendor thing but who will probably want to push their wares).  I 
don't think we need to worry about that aspect.
