I think Ray is charging $25 per day of usage, just to cover his bulb
replacement costs. (so you don't pay $25 per day for the convention, just
for the day the talks are going on)  Still WAY cheaper than a regular rental
outfit, and W-A-Y cheaper than renting from the hotel. (it's a pretty nice
unit, too)

Every machine takes a different bulb, so it wouldn't make sense for him to
bring just a spare bulb.  Chances are, it wouldn't fit the other machine
anyway.
