OK,
I can handle getting the shirts there, I can drop them off at the hotel
when I arrive at DCA on Sunday, and then when I check in on Tuesday
bring them to my room. Or ship them in advance to the hotel, but I think
I can manage the extra bag/box on the flight just fine.
Great! You're a trooper.
Where and when to sell the shirts?
A - a table somewhere near talks, manned before and after but not during
(who watches the merchandise during talks?)
This is what I vote. Heck, why can't we sell them at the registration desk?
During the talks, we'll just pack the box back up and shove it under a
table in the conference room.
B - in the hospitality room (no more than one drink if I'm handling the
money!)
C - samples only set up near the talks and most sales in hospitality
room later (anybody not able to stay for hospitality?)
I'll need a money box for cash transactions. Checks -- yes? Credit cards
-- no?
Correct. Checks drawn on US banks in US dollars. Scott, who to make checks
out to? AGA?
Mailing costs $2.44 most of the time, so discount should be $2 or less,
if we need to discount at all. I think immediate gratification is reward
enough, but dropping price from $18 to $16 is OK if you folks think it
wise.
I was thinking $15 actually. It sure makes giving out change easier! All we
need is a wad of 5's.
If I ship this box, it is very heavy, it will consume some of that
postage savings. None of this is important right now except for maybe a
table if that is needed, near talks or in hospitality room and a cash box.
I have 9 Small, 20 Medium, 36 Large, 20 X-Large and no XXL. If there are
any XXL, Cheryl, maybe you can arrange to ship them to me at the hotel.
The shirts I have will fit in one box, mostly.
I have no shirts. You have all the shirts.
And, I can handle most of the time involved, except I don't want to miss
a talk to watch a T-shirt table!
Absolutely not. T-shirt sales are closed during talks and workshops.
