We do do not have federal recognition yet, and if and when
we get it, it will be under 501(c)7 at the IRS's urging and
not 501(c)3. 501(c)3 would be required for us to get an
exemption although I doubt we could get it in time anyhow.

Other than that kind of exemption, everybody selling
anything at anytime for any raeson must pay the tax in VA
:-(

The AGA Convention has SOLD OUT of rooms at the special discount rate.

Contact hotel directly (703)920-3230 for other hotel discounts possibly 
available -- ask for the "leisure rate" of $119 per night.  The generic 
reservation line may not offer the "leisure rate."

Capacity for the Field Trip was doubled and is likely to sell out soon.

The $59 registration rate increases on October 28th to $79.
