We've always insisted they be members of SOMETHING... It wasn't really a
problem until last year, because there was no local alternative to speak
of. I think last year we said they could be a member of either AGA or
DFWAPC, but I don't think it became an issue. I also seem to remember
something brandied around like local club members could be grandfathered
in, but one would not be allowed to join the local club at the time of
registration in order to pay the cheaper local club membership instead of
the AGA membership. I do not remember if that was the final decision.
Personally, I find it annoying that he's bitching about the $20 membership
fee, when he just blew it on getting registered before the $20 LATE fee.
