Nope, you can't stop him and I doubt that he can make
enough to buy a full table -- although I'm guessing about
that. In any event, we don't have much leverage here.
With Dave, there's always room to negotiate ;-)
Btw, I don't remember his name but last year a guy walked
up to me and handed me like $20 bucks and said he was
selling (fish, plants?) from his room all weekend and he
was donating the $20. I don't know what this guy sold, so I
don't if he was being honorable or just buying his
conscience cheaply ;-)

If he wants to sell anything then he needs to get a
table, period. Everyone
else has had to and I see no reason to give him an
exception. As far as
selling stuff out of his room, I view that as cheating of
a sort and we
should discourage it. We can't stop him if he makes that
choice, but
perhaps we can encourage the attendees to buy only from
the vendors with
tables.
Just like that guy and his $20.00, it's a matter of
principle. I don't care
if we charge him $100.00 for the table, he has to get
one. If all he wants
to sell are books he's going to have some stiff
competition from Ray. He's
representing Lee Finley and no doubt he'll have some good
picks. Actually,
what about this? If Dave isn't interested in paying the
full $250.00 we
charge him $150.00 and 5% of his sales?
