The trip to the Amazon (end of Jan beginning of Feb) notwithstanding, I offer, as always, my "talents" (stop laughing Cheryl) for treasury, cash management and budget preparation and performance monitoring. Btw, I don't do sales (to vendors or other hobbyists). That's not a proscription, it's a report -- I'm simply not very good at it. I don't do windows (well) either but I'm hoping that won't come up. You have a solid 4 people willing to undertake more work than they think they would be agreeing to undertake? I'm not trying to be cute -- the commitment, as you have seen, needs to be to what will eventually seem like more than was bargained for :-O Just ask, for example, the guy that did vendor solicitations this year and he'll probably give you an earful. 4 is probably not enough so I would focus on getting a very good assessment of the core resources. I'd send you a Requirements and Guideline document but I thinkyou already have the existing doc and, clearly, it will be updated with more *stuff*. But if you need another copy of the to-be-revised version, let me know. Comment: I'm inclined to think you need to add a nonlocal/well-known figure to help the draw, although I have no suggestions along those lines. But Erik, Larry, Karen, et alia can give a more experienced view. sh --- Phil Edwards <biotypical@hotmail.com> wrote: > Hey folks, > > The Charlotte Area Aquarists Society (hopefully with help > from Carolina > Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts) is interested in hosting the > '05 convention. > We're going to be discussing the possibility at our Dec. > 4th meeting and I'd > like some feedback from everyone here.
