I'd rather be under 501(c)3, a charitable organization promoting the advancement of education and science, which ACA and I think PVAS obtained with the help of attorneys. It might be necessary that we give grants to help a case for (c)3,though. We only asked for 7 because, when we first asked, they said,"you best try again and ask for 7", which is tantemaount to saying, if you want to pursue this the way you've been going, then you'll get an official denial, but the guy in the corner cubicle that reviews (c)7 apps might buy it. So we applied under 7 and now they're saying maybe 4. My guess is that they have a problem with the notion of exclusive (member as opposed to genral public) use, which is one of the key diffs between 4 and 7. Anyone can use the AGA web page and the AGA bookstore, e.g., or come to the AGA auctions as buy or seller. At least, this time, they're not making us reapply , which means sending another $500. sh --- Paul Krombholz <pkrombholz@bellsouth.net> wrote: > Isn't there a contact person at IRS who is familiar with > the AGA > application who can be called up and asked for some > clarification?
