Re: [AGA-mcm] Advertising in TFH and selling a book

Did this occur post Central Pet buyout? I believe the
buy out from Herb occurred in 1997. If so I don't
think you can hold the new "Herb Free" TFH
accountable. David Boruchowitz has really tried to
change TFH (mag)and IMO he is doing a good job. I
can't speak for the books coming out but I have
actually re-subscribed to TFH the first time in well
over a decade.

I agree that the quality of the magazine has improved somewhat. But that's not what I'm talking about. Their business practices have not changed. (Since I have been helping someone TRY to negotiate a deal with them currently)

And as far as the quality of their books and printing, I doubt it has changed substantially, since they run their own presses. (which, in fairness, is what keeps the price of the books down). I just went and looked at the newest of the 3 TFH Amano books, ana was shocked to find that the paper it is printed on is ALREADY deteriorating, after just 10 years. It is all yellow and getting brittle, in a book that has been properly stored for that whole period.
