I tdon't think this is enough info to make a good judgement on. But if the reg and banquet fees are close to or maybe just under $100, there is free transport between hotel/airport, and we have a strong star for speaker, then $120 can work. However, I think it's worth reminding ourselves that what folks will spend depends also the reg and banquet fee. For the most part, folks do reg *and* banquet so the total cost needs to be considered. If the hotel charges to the AGA are high enough, including banquet costs, then reg and banquet fees will need to be high to cover those. And what the reg and banquet fees will be depends partly on the number of attendees. So one probably has to go through the iterative process of negotiating with the hotel, estimate possible attendances, and then seeing how sensitive the numbers are to diff fees. This is what we did the last two years to get an idea of what the break even attendance would be at diff fees ane with diff hotel deals. > The other thing they asked is if they could get the > report from the 2004 > convention. GWAPA didn't need to show no stinkin' badges, uh reports. Ivo supplied a "final" speadsheet based on the budget spreadsheet I originally made while they were developing their proposal. I made modifications to that and Ivo made some corrections to the numbers he first reproted after the convention. We can send them that (corrected) "final" budget. We can also send the report on AGA2K3 that I wrote. sh _______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm
