Yep. Not even engaged yet and already they have cold feet. Yet, it's something bound to be asked by local club members who don't understand AGA's credibility in the marketplace. I don't know if DFWAPC asked those questions, but I think they were confident the event would do much better than break even and that was enough to share -- besides, I think they thought they could do a good job of it. Or maybe Larry just talked them into it ;-) What's so bad about El Paso, anyway? A lot of folks call it home ;-) . I've never been there and wouldn't mind seeing it. Besides, I imagine the Rio Grande has aquatic plants, no? And there one can stand in two states and two countries at the same time -- why? I have no idea. But I'm still trying to wrap my brain around spending a weekend in a clubhouse for vets. How did that prospective lodging came up? sh --- Erik Olson <erik@thekrib.com> wrote: > I *still* think we could hold "our own" AGA convention > with minimal ground > crew in a nearly arbitrary city (heck, even El Paso, to > use Dave's own > suggestion), with "the AGA" taking care of everything. > As it's going, I'm > already hearing in Jeff's voice the same whining from > GWAPA's members > ("what's in it for us?") last year.
