Re: [AGA-mcm] Sidetrack

Yes. But at least they responded to it. I also sent it to 11 other clubs and never heard one thing.

Well, we could always pick a semi-permanent location, as
NEC has, and that cuts down on the organizational hassels tremendously. Not as "fair" perhaps, as moving it around the country, but if people don't wnat to make the effort to help with the planning and execution, they don't have much say, IMO.

I am liking the "tone" of the SF troop less and less.

I *still* think we could hold "our own" AGA convention

with minimal ground
crew in a nearly arbitrary city (heck, even El Paso, to

use Dave's own
suggestion), with "the AGA" taking care of everything.

As it's going, I'm
already hearing in Jeff's voice the same whining from

GWAPA's members
("what's in it for us?") last year. Gak.

Ya know Karen, that might just be a great idea. Who is

No, but my impression is that PVAS is not running a
very big convention of
their own these days. (that from chit-chat with
Steve Szabo over the
weekend) They still do a show/speaker/auction
thing, but it is pretty
low-key, with local speakers and attendees.
(although at this point,
low-key is sounding mighty good to me!)

Totally a sidetrack but has PotomacVAS ever

approached us

about hosting a convention at some point down the

line?
