Just for kicks I visited my travel agent the other day. London to SF in Nov
$600 plus cancellation plus insurance. Then there is the hotel, convention
reg. That makes it about $1100 and I haven't even had any spending money yet
!! Will I get there? I'd have to think twice.
To hold it in Jan Feb March is weatherwise doubtful. We are just beginning
to warm up for spring. It had been around the freezing mark  all week which
means heavy fog every morning. Snow tomorrow. The winds of March leave much
to be desired. March came in like a lion so hopefully will go out like a
lamb and we will be into spring. Starting April 3 and every Saturday or
Sunday after there is a show and auction each weekend. CAOAC convention May
13,14,15. This is the best time of the year for travelling.
Have we heard any more from Regina? What a "hoot" that would be. Ireally
hope there is no convention this year. It is too late to communicate and
advertise it to give enough people a chance to participate.
