RE: [AGA-mcm] Kent stiffed us.

The convention was not entirely AGA or GWAPA's fault, imo.

The displays were less than attractive and that's partly
why they didn't attract much interest -- Ray is an
exception, of course, since he actually has a display, runs
a video, has the fish bowl, chats up whoever gets within
talking distance. Some of the others were sort of acting
like they were serving pennance. Maybe, in their company,
being stuck with the plant goods is low rung on the ladder.
Who wants to visit with reps like that? I walked through a
couple times and had no desire to stop.

And a couple of them were grouchy when they showed up and
they stoked things with the others.

I didn't think then that they understood marketing
fundamentals and doubt it even more now, especially Kent.
Milwaukee doesn't really have much of a plant-specific,
targeted product line -- really just the regulator and
maybe you could count the test kit. But Kent has an entire
product line just for aquatic gardening. I'm guessing that
the plant stuff isn't selling well -- on the forums,
SeaChem seems to me to be favored.
