Re: [AGA-mcm] Fund and Awareness Raising Eyed Deer

I'm not all that interested in cichlid stuff. I don't mind missing talks. I would mind missing the opportunity to visit with my friends.

reg fee isn't so much -- it's the airfare that's a killer.
So it would have to be someone local if they need
registration.

OK, sorry for not giving all the details. I forgot a
few rather pertinent ones.

1) The auction is a cichlid only auction. There will
be over a thousand of them so there is no room for
anything else. We can donate the plants to the ACA for
the auction but that makes us no money at all. I would
like to make a little for both clubs albeit not the
primary purpose.

2) I have no idea if any DFWAPC members are even
attending although I will ask on Saturday.

3) Whoever is womanning/manning our table will have to
be registered for the ACA so that limits it further.

However, the table does not need to be manned the
entire time. I see us just putting the plants under
the table during the talks and attending them. If
there is nothing going on that you want to see then
whoever could work it but I don't want this to be more
of a burden than it should be.
I DO NOT WANT AGA PEOPLE FEELING LIKE THEY HAVE TO
MISS SPEAKERS OR OTHER EVENTS. We get enough of this
at our own AGA events.

We can simply put an ad on the Guy Jordan Bulletin
Board for $10 announcing our plants for sale and
projected booth times. We can change this with a pen
as needed. Believe me, if people know there are
quality plants for sale they will make time to see us
when we are there.

This one sounds good. I can help woman the table,
and bring PAMs and TAGs, and plants. I don't know whether DFWAPC was going to auction plants at ACA in order to make money. If that's the case then they might be reluctant to sell them at the AGA table unless they were going to get a comperable amount.

BUT sharing a table with us is better than taking
your chances at an auction. More exposure.

Larry? Do you know what their plans are?
