Re: [AGA-mcm] Fund and Awareness Raising Eyed Deer

That would work fine too, as long as we had a local AGA person (preferable at least a couple of them) willing to do it. Doing it the other way... offering AGA membership to someone who was going to be there anyway means we wouldn't have to talk someone into going... only into manning the table part time. And since they would have such a GREAT time hanging with the rest of you, I'm sure they would become long term AGA members ;-)

I don't see why the AGA couldn't pay for the registration
for someone to staff the table at the necessary times. The
reg fee isn't so much -- it's the airfare that's a killer.
So it would have to be someone local if they need
registration.

OK, sorry for not giving all the details. I forgot a
few rather pertinent ones.

1) The auction is a cichlid only auction. There will
be over a thousand of them so there is no room for
anything else. We can donate the plants to the ACA for
the auction but that makes us no money at all. I would
like to make a little for both clubs albeit not the
primary purpose.

2) I have no idea if any DFWAPC members are even
attending although I will ask on Saturday.

3) Whoever is womanning/manning our table will have to
be registered for the ACA so that limits it further.

However, the table does not need to be manned the
entire time. I see us just putting the plants under
the table during the talks and attending them. If
there is nothing going on that you want to see then
whoever could work it but I don't want this to be more
of a burden than it should be.

I DO NOT WANT AGA PEOPLE FEELING LIKE THEY HAVE TO
MISS SPEAKERS OR OTHER EVENTS. We get enough of this
at our own AGA events.

We can simply put an ad on the Guy Jordan Bulletin
Board for $10 announcing our plants for sale and
projected booth times. We can change this with a pen
as needed. Believe me, if people know there are
quality plants for sale they will make time to see us
when we are there.
