Which, for future considerations, is another reason for us to try to get 
firm commitments for conventions earlier.  If we know we are not having a 
dedicated AGA convention in a specific year, we can always tag onto another 
convention.

It's dead easy with NEC, because they already give us our own meeting space 
and time, and bring in a top plant speaker.  So we don't pay for a thing. 
Because of the DFW group, we're getting something going at ACA.  But if 
these events were advertised earlier as "official" AGA events, rather than 
just a "pick up game", they would be an opportunity for all members to 
participate, rather than just those in the know.  We don't want to steal 
fire (or participation) from a dedicated AGA event, but in off years, there 
are other good alternatives.
