You know Phil,I'm sorry, but you CLEARLY have no concept of what it takes to get TAG out if you can even say "not only once a quarter". Do you realize that TAG 1803 is not yet finished, and I am ALREADY working on TAG 1804? And Cheryl's work load is no less.
I'm not going to get into an argument of who's busier, more of the time. But I CAN tell you that I currently have more on my plate than I can handle. I can't commit to even 15 minutes per week on ANY forum. I will reaffirm that I will continue to do exactly what I have in the past... As often as I get the time, I will pop in. I've even attended a chat or two, just to show this "presence" even though that, is my all-time least favorite way to spend Internet time.
Please remember too, that some people on APC haven't exactly welcomed me. Clearly there is a contingent that doesn't approve of my judging, and has taken pains to bash it whenever possible.
The biggest problem with AGA is not this core group who works SO hard for the organization. It is the many who DON'T do anything but pay their dues (or not) and complain about the "service".
Now back to finishing up on the ADA contest (WHICH I do specifically to maintain that "AGA presence" and has also taken many, many hours) because Nozomi is politely reminding me that I am a week behind in finishing my comentary.

If the forum is intended as a mechanism for MCM folks to post (more there than elsewhere) then I doubt it was worth the money. It's not that at all. We did this to get the AGA more publicity in an attempt to get more members while allowing us a different pathway to share with other people. What I see at the moment is the MCM are the folks that people recognize and associate with the AGA. We could have a million and one general members posting all the time in the forum but if people don't recognize that they're AGA members it would seem that the AGA isn't supporting something it's doing. At this point, it's all about name recognition until people recognize other people as AGA members too. What people need to see, even if it's only an occasional occurance, is that "shieber", "KRandall", "CherylR", or anonapersona next to a post in their thread.I know we all have many other things on our plates. We're all adults and have lives that need to be tended to. I'm in the middle of a Plant Physiology class. It's really hard and I should be preparing right now instead of typing. I appreciate all of the hard work you put into this endeavour called the AGA. Without it, it wouldn't be around right now.One post, once a week as long or as short as you want it to be. Let the people see your names there so that they feel that the AGA really is behind this and is trying to support them on a day-to-day basis, not just once a quarter.Best, Phil _______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm
